I'm pouring on the Echinacea, staying hydrated, and drinking green tea to help ease the discomfort. It's not HURTING as much as it is just a dull throb. However, I know this throb will turn into a sore throat far too easily.

Any advice?

Please do not say "it'll be gone before your wedding" or "you're just too stressed!"

Get some rest. ALOT of it. Hopefully your immune system will fight it off before it turns into something huge. Vitamins and antibiotics never hurt either. The doctor will probably tell you to make a salt and water mixture and gargle it....yuck, but it does work most of the time. It WON'T get rid of the problem though..it'll just make it FEEL better. Good luck and have a nice wedding!

Zicam is the best medicine in the world for sore throats. They sell it at grocery stores and I think it is about $6. You spray it in your mouth, preferably at the first symptom of a cold, and it will make your sore throat or whatever go away in a few days. Good luck and I hope you feel better!

Gargle with warm salted water a couple of times a day. Plenty of hot tea with honey or lemons.

Go see your doctor right away and get some antibiotics "just in case". Most sore throats are not cause by a bacterial infection, but why take that chance? Also, start taking some decongestants to dry up any mucus, etc that may be draining down the back of your throat. Good Luck!!

go to the grocery store and buy Coldeeze, they are cough drops with iron and some other minerals and good stuff in it. I suck on them until the cold is gone, they always work. Short of that. Hole up for two days and drink a bottle of Robitussen

Gargle with : 1 tablesoon salt disolved in lukewarm water.
as many times as you can, for at least 20 seconds or more each time.

Remember, mouth contact may not be the best during your infection, viruses or bacteria or both are responsible for your problem.

I know you told me not to say it but DON'T STRESS! REEEELLLAAAXXX :)
also gargle with warm salt water or even a smidge of hydrogen peroxide (just don't swallow it!) works for tonsillitis so it should work for just a throb.

good luck and congrats on the wedding. :)

Well, you could try meditation, that helped me. And it might be that you are stressed or just worked up. Try to relax and play some soothing music at night to help you sleep better.
