Seriously why are so many people in this world born stupid?

Honestly why do people look to celebrities for guidance in life?
How can you not have any idea what the country South of America is called?
How could any of you vote for George W. Bush?
Why do people love reality TV?
How do people not know left from right?
Why do most spiritual people think everything they do is faith driven when its been proven false?
Infact why are religious people weak-minded?

I am sick of dumb people, If you are angry at this question, it is probably because you are a simple-minded peon that probably doesn't deserve to be using the internet. Lastly you most likely believe Church & State should become one. If that is your philosophy, then please proceed to cross the street and makesure to stop when you see a bus coming. Thank you

First off: Its not a stereotype IF its factual.
Lastly, i said country SOUTH of AMERICA

that means what country is located south OF america. Case in point that female to dared to question me about this and called me narrow-minded is infact obtuse and half-wit.

It's easier to stay in your comfort zone. It's comfortable to be entertained. Learning takes effort. Effort is not comfortable. Weak minds need religion for comfort.

Now then!

There is more to life than intellect. There is more to a person than intellect. Yes, intelligence counts, but so does personality, characteristics, dignity, honor, athleticism, and talents. I'm sure there is more that make a person who they are that I neglected to include, but you get the point.

If there were no stupid people, who would do all the dirty work? Do you think an intelligent person would collect trash every week? Just because a person is not smart, that does not make them invaluable to society.

A person doesn't even need to be smart to be successful! They only need to have strong characteristics. It is said that a person does not need to be smart to run a company, he just needs to hire smart people.

Or a person could even be an entertainer and make millions, because they give society what it wants. Their comfort zone. ;)

Sorry you have to put up with the stupid people in life. If you don't like the way life is or the world you live in... Quit. :)

Like many people I was born stupid. I am not sure why but I think it may have been remedied if my mother had given me some of that apple juice from the tree of knowledge out of the Garden of Eden. It may be that not even that would have helped.
I agree that there are many people who are stupid. My son has a T-shirt that says something like, "Being stupid should be painful." Though I am in pain some times I think it is just the arthritis.
I was told that there are limits to intelligence but no limits on stupidity. I think that is accurate some times and most of the time it is when someone does not agree with me. I'm working on not worrying about it until Alzheimer's kicks in.

First of all, South of America as you put it is NOT a country, but is a continent that has 12 countries in it. Most of them Spanish speaking.
Second, barring the fact that you have a right to your opinion, Why is it wrong to look at celebrites for guidance? Are you trying to say that there arent people in the press that are worth looking up to? People have a RIGHT to vote for whomever they wish! It doesnt make them stupid just because you or anyone else happens to disagree. I think people love reality tv, well I'm not sure why they like it, but they do...so what??
Where is your proof that faith is false?
I dont believe that all religious people are weak minded. That is a very stereotypical thing to say!
Your question does make me a little angry, but it certainly doesnt make me simple-minded! It makes me question why you are stereotyping a group of people as a whole! (religious people)
I do believe in God, but I do not consider myself a religious person, as I happen to not trust the churchs(which were started by people, not God) I do not believe that church and state should become one. But these are just my opinions and anybody else reading this is allowed to have theirs and diagree with me and your opinion as well.

The really sad thing is that it's mostly the stupid people that seem to be breeding more stupid people. They're irresponsible when they have sex, and whammo, a child is born who will be neglected, or treated like pet rather than someone who will grow up to be (most likely) another irresponsible human being. And thus the cycle continues.

On the other hand, intellegent people are choosing not to have children, or else choosing to have only a few children.

*Sigh*

Separation of church and state was first conceptualized by the church, not the state. As a Christian, I fully support the concept and think we need to dialogue about how best to make it happen. Quit being so narrow-minded.

People aren't born stupid, they are socialized to be stupid. Monkey see, monkey do. The best way to make the world less stupid is to continue to not be stupid and provide a good example for others to follow.

Keep in mind, though, that most people who are stupid don't think that they are stupid, so it's important to be open to the possibility that you may indeed be stupid and in need of changing.

Hmmm, so anyone who doesn't think as you do, or share your identical political or religious beliefs, or have the same strengths and weaknesses as you, is "born stupid"?

While I personally agree with some of your statements, I wouldn't make the fundamental mistake of judging intelligence based on how closely people agree with me.

Kim Jong-il of North Korea and Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe have the same outlook on life as you set forth in your "question." However, they are in positions of power, where their narrow-mindedness and bigotry cost thousands of people their lives.

You are so right-on!! I know people on welfare who can't put their clothes on, who are telling me what they think about religion, politics, etc. I'm thinking, "GET A JOB!!!" It's really difficult to be patient with ignorance. It seems there is no limit to how ignorant some people are. Do I work retail? You betcha!!

hahah nicee one. Yeah you know though, to be serious, I have no friggin idea. People are really stupid...and it's really frustrating, isn't it? I feel your pain.

Here's a better one: more people know who Harry Potter is than who Tony Blair is. Don't get me wrong, HP is amazing...but come on people!

I completely agree with every thing you expressed.

I have an expression I like to use when dealing with all of the lemmings:

"SO MANY STUPID PEOPLE-SO FEW BULLETS!"
