they do sell amplifiers to boost your signal, the problem is you can only pick up the stations within 100 miles if you are lucky.
are you saying you are on rabbit ears? try putting an aerial (antenna) on the roof or in the attic the problem is when it's in the attic it cuts you're strength in half.
you may also put the antenna on a rotor which will aim it in different directions which helps in picking up distant towers. a good Channel Master Antenna will pick up for 200 miles with a good clear signal, and no monthly bill

An HD antenna will do unquestionably not something in direction of your means to get HDTV on a television that's not an HDTV. you might have the two a television with a outfitted-in HD tuner or a exterior HD tuner and a television that has factor video inputs. So, forget approximately approximately HD. only bypass down on your close by Radio Shack or electronics branch of fairly lots any shop that has one (dwelling house Depot, objective, etc.) and %. up a set of rabbit ears. they're going to set you back approximately $10. make certain you be attentive to the way that's related to the television, in spite of the indisputable fact that. Older TVs have 2 screw terminals which you may connect those spade lugs to (3 hundred-ohm connector). greater moderen TVs have a everyday cable television setting up (seventy 5-ohm screw-on F setting up). If the rabbit ears have a three hundred-ohm cable (flat with 2 conductors) and the television has an F setting up for the antenna connection, you will could get a three hundred- to seventy 5-ohm adaptor (couple dollars, if that).

The only channels you will receive are those broadcast channels that can be picked up by your antenna. If you don't want to pay for cable and assuming there are broadcast channels available that you cannot presently receive, invest in a better antenna.

Get some sort of outdoors antenna. Trying to amplify what little signal you already have is fruitless as you will also increase noise and destroy the picture.
