Love is when you feel extra affection for someone, it's when you care about someone more than anything else in the entire world. It hurts so bad after it's over because you know you may have wasted all that affection and caring on something that wasn't worth it, or that you miss them so bad, and it doesn't feel right knowing you guys aren't ever going to be the same....
If your sad about some guy, just remember..there's always more fish in the sea. Sooner or later, you'll find "Mr. Right". (<---i know...corny).

According to many great lyricists of the Twentieth & Twenty-first centuries, love is: a stranger in an open car, a danger of a different kind, a rollercoaster- (you just gotta ride it), just a four letter word, a river, that circles the Earth, a beam of light shinin' to the edge of the universe, blind, patient, just a myth, automatic, pain, strong, the law, funny, real, everywhere, kind, a blessing, a gift.
And, just for completeness; Love is all you need, it don't pay no bills, it's all around me, it conquers all, it changes everything, it breaks the chains, it cuts and it slices like cold steel.
And who are we to argue with the likes of Queen, The Rolling Stones and Annie Lennox?
As for why it hurts so bad... It hurts so bad when it's over because it felt so great when it was happening. Life, eh? Ah, well, at least the pain reminds you you're alive. xxxx

Love is a condition or phenomenon of emotional primacy, or absolute value. Love generally includes an emotion of intense attraction to either another person, a place, or thing; and may also include the aspect of caring for or finding identification with those objects, including self-love. Love can describe an intense feeling of affection, an emotion or an emotional state. In ordinary use, it usually refers to interpersonal love, an experience usually felt by a person for another person. Love is commonly considered impossible to define.
The concept of love, however, is subject to debate. Some deny the existence of love. Others call it a recently invented abstraction, sometimes dating the "invention" to courtly Europe during or after the middle ages (though this is contradicted by the sizable body of ancient love poetry). Others maintain that love really exists, is not an abstraction, but is indefinable; being a quantity which is spiritual, metaphysical, or philosophical in nature. Some psychologists maintain that love is the action of lending one's "boundary" or "self esteem" to another. And others attempt to define love and apply the definition to everyday life.
