If illegals come here knowing they are wrong, why does the gov. think that they will suddenly stop and think.... "Hey, they have laws here, maybe I should follow them. Oh nevermind, I got away with being here in the first place, so apparently I don't have to do anything the US laws say."
(only they would be thinking that in spanish, since they won't learn english)

Your logic is faulty. Other people break the law too, knowing full well that it is wrong...there's quite a lot of whites and blacks in prison and thousands more on probation. Now unlike the Mexicans, many of those people have studied Civics in school, and frequently repeated lessons such "Don't Drink and Drive" are everywhere. I am against the illegals in America and believe that they should be returned to Mexico. I place full blame on the government for the problem as they didn't prevent the problem. However, you can't blame anyone for wanting to better their lives. My own family is from Germany (three generations) and the cause of emigration was economic. My grandparents thought in German and I spoke German at home as a child. Around my hometown are many ethnic groups, Poles, Czechs and Russians not to mention other Germans, so ethnicity and language are not issues. You are liking them to a puppy that you expect the animal to suddenly understand spoken words....after all it took you a time to learn English.

my grandparents escaped from Czarist Russia, when they got to Ellis they had about $5.00 in their pockets. They were not allowed into theUSA due to the fact that their eldest son had one leg shorter than the other. They lived in Montreal until the laws allowed them to come to the USA legally. My grandfather died before coming and grandma went to work with 7 children to take care of. Many days she did not have money to feed them, BUT SHE OBEYED THE LAWS. Enough said

Lisa,

What do you mean how can we not know true poverty when 9 million LEGAL Americans go to bed hungry every night?

We need to worry about LEGAL Americans. America always worries about others first (and get mocked for it). That needs to stop! We need to think of our problems first.

I don't see how anyone can say that our government makes it sooo hard to get here. We have had billions of LEGAL immigrants here that did it the right way. Why demean what they did just because another countries government is sooo messed up.

Amnesty won't work!! Read your history books!!

Lisa, poverty is no excuse for being a crimminal. Are you saying poor people have the RIGHT to break the law? My ancestors came here legally, did yours?
Just look at Mexico and you have your answer. Lazy, lawless, drug smugglers, they are all there and they crawl on their bellies like snakes to get into the USA.
I think when they catch illegals, they should give them a gun and send them to Iraq. You want to be here, fight for it.

LOL U are right. Problem is its like little kids...they get away with something and it keeps going and going. It gets bigger and bigger. Illegals are living a total lie. I'm not surprised this doesnt bother them.

Did you ever stop to think that people may not want to break the law to come here? When you have no money to feed or clothe your family, a border law seems selfish. It's hard to know what true poverty is when you are living in the US.
