If your abdominal area aches, or you have a fever or there is a large amount of blood, go to the emergency room.

See your doctor if your stool is dark-red, burgundy, black, tarry or rust-colored.

No matter what the case, you should call your doctor or nurse to make sure it's not anything to worry about.

However, hemorrhoids are the most common cause of rectal bleeding. If that is what it is, ask your doc how you can prevent them.

Blood in the stool can be caused by several things from ruptured hemorrhoids to colon cancer. If you actually see red blood, chances are that you had an internal hemorrhoid that ruptured. However, if your stool is very dark (black), you may have a bigger problem. In the first case I would see what happens the next time you go to the bathroom and keep an eye on things, but in the second case it is very important for you to see a doctor ASAP.
-I saw your most recent note about there being a lot of blood. Is the blood in the toilet bowl? If so, it will look like much more blood than there actually is because it has mixed with the water.

Hey doll... check out WebMd, or any online med site to check symptoms. I know I was concerned about that before and it was said that a teeny tiny bit of blood can look AWFUL but it only takes a little. Prob. hemm's... but I would do some research or call a nurse to dbl. check. (Clots is what worries me about your question)

a little blood once in a while could be hemmoroids, but if theres a lot and it's everytime you have a bowel movement see a dr. or it could be from your period if it's close to time for it.

You don't need to go to a doctor if you don't feel hurt. If you feel hurtful, see a doctor right away.

And also wait for the next one, if you see blood, yes see a doctor.

It could be something you ate!
