The FDA ...?

Every vitamin bottle I've ever read,says " These claims have not been approved by the FDA" or "These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA" Are there any vitamins that have been approved by them? Y.

Vitamins are considered to be food by the FDA. With food, it's assumed that the claims are correct, until proven false. With drugs, it's assumed that the claims are wrong until proven correct.
While the FDA is not actively pursuing the truth in herbal/vitamin claims, there is a National Insitute of Health Insitute doing investigations into the validity.
There are prescription vitamins, but these are normally used in extraordinary circumstances or need to be given as an injection. You can find prescription vitamin B12. There is a prescription for a complex of B vitamins.

The FDA is one of the most corrupt agencies that exist. They are driven BY THE DOLLAR!!! Just look at all the drugs being recalled, and all the ads on TV,radio, etc. about all the drugs causing irreversible damage to people. The FDA approved EVERY ONE OF THEM!!! Because the drug companies pay them BIG BUCKS to get a drug approved. As soon as a drug is approved, it is an automatic billion dollars for the company that makes it!!! The problem will never get any better, either because our gov't officials are into it up to their wallets! That goes all the way to the top! THE FDA REALLY DOESN'T WANT US TO USE OVER THE COUNTER MEDS. THEY'D MUCH RATHER WE WENT TO THE DR AND GET A PRESCRIPTION. THAT'S WHY WE NEED TO RALLY TOGETHER AND NOT LET THE GOVERNMENT KEEP US FROM BUYING OVER THE COUNTER DRUGS.
