I am 38, and have had I think two dates in my life:
once when I was 14, and I thought it was formal and dumb.
once when I was 25, to humor the guy who wouldn't see me any other way, and to see if dating as an adult was any better. It was worse!
Dating is not necessary. I have had a rich love life, meeting all my lovers and boyfriends through friends, and through activities together, like going out to concerts, going to parties and BBQ's, etc. In fact, the idea of spending money and hours with a stranger, like an extended "job interview" is just too weird!!!!

No, there are many 18 year olds who have never been on a date. However, if you'd like to go on a date, go ahead and ask someone.

No you are probably not weird. Give it some time.You didn't say if you were male or female.As people mature they start look for more of the inner person, instead of the face.Put yourself in a good place to meet people your age besides a bar.Try church with a youth group.

I certainly don't think so... I'm 17 and have never gone on a real date nor had a real boyfriend. Don't worry, you'll find someone :)

No...you just do it when you feel ready. Everybody's different and we all mature at different ages. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.
