It's cute, playful, pretty to look at, obviously commercial and colorful.

There's nothing wrong with it but I just don't think it's all that original. It seems too derivative of a cross-section of older styles, including Fave.

Modern yes, contemporary no. :)

Far from cutting edge, maybe a hundred years ago but not now.
Pretty though.

Modern, yes. Inventive, not really; but then there really is little that is new right now.
