Low body fat can delay a period. Just as too much body fat can delay a period. When I was 14 I was rather thin and I exercised daily with my dad. He would go jogging and I'd go with him. Suddenly I realized I hadn't had a period in more than 3 months. My mom took me to the doctor where it was determined my body fat was too low and as a result my system was out of whack, thus resulting in no period.

Only if you are losing a lot of weight. Your period is synonymous with body fat. If you don't have enough body fat to be healthy , your body will delay or stop your menstrual cycle so you will not get pregnant with a child that your body can not sustain.

It should actually help regulate our periods unless you are losing to much weight. I know that there are many doctor that will tell come over weight ladies that they need to work out to get a normal cycle.

yes it does and it can make it seem like nothing. I used to have bad periods when I was younger and my mom always got me to exercise with her to help them. It doesnt matter if your loosing weight just keep moving.

CONGRATS my dear, I,m trying to lose weight myself(hard work it is) but i'll meet my goal. i'm just guessing but you might be right fir the most part; usually dealing with the cramps also has to deal mostly with muscles so maybe it's possible. lets test it.

It could. It could even stop it - I think it has to do with body fat too.
