You could take slides of your work with a list of exhibitions you have participated in. Printouts could be added in too, but for some reason a lot of galleries still want to have slides.

Also think about putting your work on line, and emailing the gallery a link to your work. This will get a faster answer than waiting for snail mail. Some artists make a painting a day and sell it on ebay, it seems like a great discipline to follow.

Check each web site for submission information, then follow it. Gallery owners can get a bit miffed when other approaches are taken.

Email pictures of your work and bio to a gallery that you would like to represent you.
