I think it depends entirely on the 2 people involved and on why she became a stripper. Many women choose that line of work because they believe it's the only way they can support themselves. Others do it because they were molested and abused as children and have low [or no] self esteem. I think most strippers are decent people who fell on hard times for one reason or another. They should not be judged harshly because of this. I think a relationship with a stripper has every chance of working as long as he vows to never use it as a way to hurt her in the future. God bless!

Risky - but overall I guess it depends on the woman and their reasons for doing that - you have women in other jobs that are "nastier" and will never turn into something real too so it is not just limited to strippers though I would never be comfortable dating one - there are just too many people touching them and who knows what they are willing to do for money. I believe that your body is your temple and that even if they don't do sexual acts for money, they are still selling themselves - showing everyone what they would show me - it would not mean as much or be as special - I can't see it lasting - not in a healthy, way - not in the same way as some other relationships - there would be too much jealousy and worrying - insecurity, etc.

But it happens~

I dated a stripper back in the 80's. She was working 5 nights a week and making $600 per night. After a month had gone by, she asked me if I could loan her money for rent! Everything she made went right up her nose.

i dated a stripper once it was real....real great until she started having problems because she was addicted to coke and i don't mean soda pop. her being a stripper was no problem ,her being an addict broke up what probally could have been a great life with "the one". If you gonna strip do it cause you like the $$ or because it's fun or both but stay clean and don't drink while working

I dated a stripper for a while. Mind you, they do not have sex with thier customers, so there is nothin "nasty"... However, as a guy I was easy to jealousy because I know what guys "think and imagine" while she danced.
Some guys can be jerks and be a little to hands on, so I could not watch her work.
I eventually broke it off because I was too jealous.

It's not about being nasty, it's about not being able to trust a stripper. They have no loyalty, and they will dump a guy in a second for someone they met in the club.

I think it has the possibility to turn into something real, but that is highly unlikely. Plus, with the amount of STD's out there these days, you can never be too careful.
