Is this a trick question? Everyone knows that each group has their own specialties, and as a result each group is suited for specific roles. I wonder why you didn't mention the Force Recon Marines, or Air force Air Commandos, or the Army Special Forces?

You are comparing apples to oranges.

Special Forces has a dual mission:

1. Behind the lines unconventional warfare.
2. Training and leadership of sympathetic indigeous forces in a hostile area.

SEALs are general purpose commando-type troops (same as #1 above). The orignal SEALs specialized in underwater demolition.

If you want to compare them on a level ground you would have to compare SEALs against US Army Delta teams.

Who is better at making luxury sport cars, Aston Martin or Ferrari? That's the sort of question you're asking here. There is no clearcut answer on who is qualitatively superior. This question has been asked so often in so many different places on the internet, and the result is always the same. It's about as ridiculous as two toddlers duking it out in a playground over whose dad can beat up the other dad.

How many of you who answered actually have military experience of any sort, experience fighting overseas, or have worked alongside special operations units? What kind of premise do you rest your answer on? Some movie with Charlie Sheen or Chuck Norris in it? Spare the public your stupidity and your ignorance.

This is the sort of question that deserves to die a quick death. It's a shame it comes out once a week here at least without fail.

The navy SEALS are much better at infiltrating between enemy lines and not leaving a trace except the dead bodies. The third guy is a piece of crap.

they both have different jobs. the seals are the tip of the spear sneak-in sneak-out guys. the delta is better in urban enviroments and raiding and securing buildings and city terrains.

Yep, the third guy is a dumb@ss. He just said that cause he doesn't have the balls to do anything like that. He's a worthless piece of s.h.i.t.

Anyways, both are good at what they do, each one has a different mission.

They are both the best at what they do. Be glad they are on your side. Who you need to worry about are those folks with multiple names & passports who don't show up on any databases and work for cash for the highest bidder, usually governments under "black" budgets for unnamed agencies.
