uh oh... your cat may be having serious plaque or tartar problems... this can cause periodontal disease (like what my cat had). Youn need to get a really good cat-toothpaste and start brushing your cat's teeth everyday. I use C.E.T. Enzymic Toothpaste for cats (bought at the vet's for only $11.00 - lasts 4 months) ad a long-handled cat toothbrush. It will take your cat some getting used to, but if you follow the label's directions, you hould do OK. Personally, I place my cat on the bathroom countertop; hold him against my chest; grap hold of him by the scruff of the neck; insert brush at the side of his moth and brush each side with no more than 3 - 5 strokes back and fourth. That's all the cat will allow you unless you are fortunate enough to have a cat who actually likes the sensation!

No, seriously, bad breath in cats is a sign of mouth or dental problems. If your cat has tartar, you need to get his teeth cleaned by the vet as you cannot do so with any known home remedies.

Hit is early before your cat needs dental work. My cat needed 4 extractions and I doled out nearly $600 for the whole thing!
