No my parents did not T.V. did I never used drugs but I was the a*^hole who sold it when I was young. I was one of the bad kids who mess up someone happy home that's why I school my kids and give them example tell them money is fast. but so is your life I take them to prisons and I also let them read articles of people who receiving time for selling it and using it

Yeah my parents did all of it right in front of me. Not sure that education was the goal they had in mind but I never touched drugs. I wanted nothing to do with them with all the crap I saw in my home. But my little sis is a different story.

They had no need to educate me bout drugs. I decided on my own that I was never gonna do it :) Here I am @ 26 (27 on Oct 10th) & STILL haven't tried drugs ONCE :) I made a promise to myself that I'd never try it. Teachers educated me bout drugs tho.

I think the crucial thing for me wasn't the specific drug education but establishing a strong sense of self to not go along with the crowd just for the sake of...

My parents provided no education about drugs. Discovered all I needed to learn all by myself. The lesson.
Respect drugs they are more powerful than you are.

They did a great job...my dad was a cop...so I heard all of the horror stories and saw some of the results firsthand...
I grew up and worked as a deputy sheriff...and taught my daughter the same way...neither of us has ever done illegal drugs nor do we smoke (anything)
My husband hasn't either and was raised by a cop too....of course his siblings all used at one time or another?!

I have to say yes....but back in my days we weren't having to deal with the type of drugs that kids are faced with today. So, it wasn't really much of an issue as it is today.

I think they did their best, theres only so much your parents can do for you.My parents where like "If you don't see me doing them and im doing well in my life then why would you need to have them?"And i liked that, i can't say i didn't try them but thinking about my parents made me say no and turn them down.I don't want to sound like some kind of ad but it helped me like not smoking. my parents used to tell me that you'll see the down side to that ****. and when my friends didn't have money to buy them they went around ash trays looking for some to smoke and it was the sadest thing to watch, and i knew it wasn't for me. and i don't smoke.

No. My parents were clueless. They're really old. My Dad was 50 years old when my Mom got pregnant with me. I had to find out from school. They made us watch some documentary film about it.
