and the water has been fairly cool (76). Do I burn my calories in the cooler water since my body has to work to keep itself warm?
It seems to me that I should, but I'm not certain.

Probably...shivering burns calories.

oh.. yeah... swiming is the best.. excercise .. its better than running and its much fun than it.. i wish i have a big pool.. i was a swimmer once and i lost a lot of weight.. if i dnt eat a lot.. i would not.. have to worry about losing 50 pounds..or more if i want to.. ur so lucky u have a pool..
