Yes and one can be alive and have no fear of death.
You put this question in the right place. Those that have a relationship with the Christ, to die is gain, to live is Christ

No not at all. What about trees & other flora? As far as we know worms don't fear death, but we know it's alive. And what about people who aren't afraid to die? I know of a few who aren't afraid to die & they're alive.

To be able to fear is to have conscious thought. That in and of itself assumes a living being as opposed to just an inanimate object.

I would say it's alive if it is capable of experiencing death.

For mankind, YES.
For God, NO.
HE WILLINGLY WENT TO THE CROSS, DIED, AND RAISED AGAIN 3 DAYS LATER.
*FEAR NOT THE ONE THAT CAN DESTROY THE BODY, BUT FEAR THE ONE THAT CAN DESTROY BOTH THE BODY AND SOUL IN HELL.
p.s.. fear is not always bad.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom/knowledge.

"Alive" is actually not a very well defined word. It generally means something that has a metabolism and reproduces itself.
