A treasure hunter who used divining stones, something forbidden by God in the Old testament.

It might be no surprize that someone dabbling in something occultic might come upon a spirit pretending to be an angel and come up with a book which presents a God very unlike the Biblical God and a gospel very unlike the Biblical gospel

Joe Smith also after being told to leave all the churches which the "angel" said were all "corrupt" ...AHEM ... and joined Harmony Methodist church where he met and married his wife... AHEM....

he moved to Illinois and joined the occultic Masons ... ehy is that not a surprize... and came up with the idea God married a mrs God and they used to be Mormons on a planet far away long ago... Star Warz was a cool movie ... was it not...

Joseph Smith INSISTED the moon was populated with people who lived to be 1000 years old and dressed like Quakers... proving.. he was very confused about heaven

Stick with the Biblical God and the reliable Bible

This is Eternal life that they might know You the only true God and Jesus Christ who you have sent John 17:3

Joe Smith had to claim the Bible was corrupt because his revelation were incompatable with the Bible and they would lead one to reject the substance of the Bible, the nature of the true God and the gospel clearly showing he did not see eye to eye with either Moses or Jesus as seen in the very reliable writings we have
