Hey, I'm 16, I weigh an even 200 and am 5'8. Not really "fat" but its spread out. Most of it is in my stomach. I really wanna know how to do it. I am also cutting out ice cream, candy, and chips/junk food, out of my diet. My friend told me I should do a half hour worth of situps and run. He said if I do those two things, after about a month I should lose weight. So my question is..How many pounds do you think I would lose?

3600 calories = 1lb of fat

Try this running routine. Speed walk warm up for 5min. Jog for 30 sec, run for 2min., sprint for 1 min. Repeat - jog, run, sprint for 20-30 min. (about 6x), work up to 45 min (10x). Cool down speed walk 3-5min. Do on treadmill - beach is better.

I would suggest an excercise ball for your abs, it's worked better than ab excercises alone for me.

Good luck!! And don't give up on you!! You won't regret it!

The first thing you should do is run a search on BMI calculaters. The second is a fat % calulation(another calculater to search on).
Then once you have a general idea of your fat percentage and the average weight for your age you should find an exercise routine that will give you the results you want. I did free weights with dumbbells but then I got a BoFlex(I love that thing).

The main reason I didn't post links was because if you really want to lose weight and change your lifestyle then you will take the first step yourself.

A side note about BMI is that it doesn't take the weight of muscle mass and bone density into acount so it is mainly a "broad" idea of healthy weight. Have fun and good luck!

If you eat healthy, cut out a lot of junk food and soda, and exercise at least a half hour a day, you will start to lose your gut first, and you'll tone up fairly quickly if stick to it. It's hard to say how many pounds or how fast because everyone is different, but if you want to drop twenty five pounds or so, that's a good plan for a few months...

Most likely lose about, 2lbs a week. Drink lots of water. Replace all the sugary drinks with the water. Good luck!!!

sweetie,
you can lose as many lbs as you want, heck you could darn well become anorexic if you really want ( I am NOT suggesting this).
what matters most is that you incorporate a moderate amount of exersizing in this routine. walk more, move more, lose more.

you could lose 5-10 lbs on this. It depends on how well you stick to it.

Depends on how much self deception you practice. Maybe four or five pounds at the most.
