That you even have to ask suggests you know that you (and your sister) are being deliberately offensive. Personally, my son has Down syndrome and I love it when he claps his hands, and laughs, etc. He's a happy child and I wouldn't want him any other way.

If you think showing elation in something is somehow silly or wrong, then I feel bad for you. If only more people could delight in the simple things in life, the world would be a much happier and friendlier place.

If you're going to hell for that, I'm in deep sh1t! I myself laughed at that. Does your sister add the audible accompaniment?? I laughed at that possibility too. The next time I see a butterfly, I'm gonna hafta try this and see how people react.
