You don't want to load up on all your calories at night when you're going to be going to sleep. Eat balanced meals throughout the day. If anything complex carbs would be better early with your fruit at night. To lose weight no formal "diet" is needed ( you've probably already noticed that the do not work. You sound like your educating yourself about diet and exercise--so just keep it up. Keep learning how many calories and how much fat various foods have and act accordingly. Eventually it will be second nature. A lifestyle as opposed to a "diet".

The way to successfully lose weight is through eating sensibily and exercise. Cardio workouts alone will not make you lose weight. You need to add in some resistence training ie weights.
along with the cardio and eating right you should drop the weight you need to.
This is an example only!!! Your daily calorie in take is 2000cal
which is broken down into 50% carbs, 30% protein and 20% essential fats and oils.
Drink at least 64oz of water per day.
Here is an example of one day Time between meals and snacks is important as the body should not be starved.
Breakfast 3 Eggs on Toast and your choice of beverage water,Tea, or coffee (8oz) eaten at 6am
Snack Bagel and Cream Cheese (low fat) eaten 8:30-9:00am
Lunch Chef Salad (Mixed Leafy Greens, Tomato, Cucumber, Carrots, Green Pepper, 1 Slice of Ham, Turkey, Cheese, Wheat Thins crushed into salad, apple and 4 tablespoons of Zesty Italian Dressing ) eaten 12-12:30pm
Afternoon Snack Rasins and Almonds (20 Rasins and 10 almonds eaten 3-3:30pm
Supper Chicken Parmasian with vegetables and a cheese sauce eaten 5-5:30
Evening Snack: Frozen Yogurt & Fruit eaten 7:30-8pm
No food after 8:30pm
The times are just guide lines but the spacing should be 2.5-3.0hrs apart.
The best thing to do is consult a nutritionist at your gym they can set out a meal plan for you.

Remember, muscle weights more than fat. Excesize and even heavy workouts are not the way to lose weight. You will lose weight if you use more calories than you consume, so just try to watch what you eat. Drop the chips and soda, and eat something better.
Or you could always get anorexia... Why do you need to lose so much weight... A 40 minure elliptical AND running? I wish I had that much spare time!

get back on your diet. exercise with out diet is useless. stop drinking sodas, just fruit salads is still too much sugar intake for your system and most of all..QUIT BEING LAZY AT HOME!!
a diet is a diet you can cheat sometimes but dont do it everynight. buy the outfit you want in the size you want for the xmas party and then work hard for that.

Wow! If you can't loose weight on that run, there is something wrong. Either you're eating A LOT of fat or there's some sort of glandular problem. I can't imagine why you wouldn't loose weight on that!
