My son is 6' 2" and was at 350, so I know for a fact you are definitely overweight.
Here are my suggestions. NO FAST FOOD< NO SODAS OF ANY SORT> DRINK WATER ONLY> NO PASTA< NO BREAD>NO POTATOES> NO RICE>NO SWEETS OR BAKERY ITEMS, NO FRUITS ALL OF THESE ARE CARBOHYDRATES AND TURN TO SUGAR IN YOUR BODY..ALL CEREALS ARE CARBOHYDRATES .
Try the Adkins diet for a while, it will get your weight loss cranked up. You can have most all veggies, meats, hard cheeses, eggs, bacon, sausage. Once you get the carbohydrates out of your system you will stop craving them.
If you go to a fast food place order a big salad and burger with cheese and throw away the bread, no french fries and water only. This will crank up your weight loss quickly, but don't cheat, its a chemical thing and cheating interrupts the losing chemistry.

Forget all the diets. They all starve your body of something and don't teach you proper healthy eating. The best way to loose weight is to eat a little less and to eat slowly and drink lots of water. If you are loosing only 2 to 3 pounds per week then you are eating healthy and well be able to maintain a healthy life style. In a nut shell, eat less, move more.

Just watch your calorie intake, also your fat intake. I am on a 1500 calorie diet a day with a low protein intake, I have lost weight and it is the healthy way. Drink plenty of water. Stay away from soda's and sugary items. Stay away from fried foods, eat baked, broiled, or pan sear. Beef is a huge weight gainer, due to all the fat in the meat. Try the other meats, pork, chicken, bison, turkey, fish. Good Luck.

Ive got a diabetic in my fire dept that has lost almost 75lbs in say 4-5 months and is keeping it off as well. Mostly just watch what you eat and how much. Eat salads instead of burgers. Most definitely cut as much sugar out of your diet as possible. I don't mean natural sugars like in fruits but sugars as in sweets and sodas. the diet will take ALOT of self discipline, I wont lie to you, but it will work. Of course now don't forget to start doing some exercising. A good cardio work out of just walking, if not running, with some weight training is the safest and quickest way to loose weight without surgery or hurting your body.

One good thing that I ate when I lost weight was bagels, like Western Bagels. Western Bagels have a pretty low amount of fat in them, compared to others like Sara Lee, and they're tasty.
Whatever you eat, look at the label, see the calories, and look at the overall calories and the percentage of calories which are due to fat. I tried to keep my fat percentage to 20 percent or lower.
You need to increase your metabolism, while at the same time reduce your consumption of bad fats. Eliminate fried foods immediately- donuts, french fries, potato chips. You need to do an aerobic exercise at least 4-5 times a week, for half an hour to 45 minutes each day. Eliminate soda pop from your diet, and drink lots of water. Eating fresh fruit and vegetables is ideal, too. You know how they say you are what you eat? Well, eating more fish will bring your fat content in your body more in line to what it should be, simply because fish naturally have a set fat content in them (they don't eat ice cream).
Aside from that, if you have health insurance, I suggest asking your doctor to refer you to a nutritionist (which should be free, or cheap).

its probably muscle but if you want to loose weight eat more healthy stuff like fruits and vegitables and dont eat too many carbs and just eat a reasonable amout of food so your not tooo full and your not hungry
