Dad used to say: as we were growin up:
You will go hungry on the streets, and I will laugh...Everybody hates you children, and your mother is a cancer to society and she is like a snake....He said we were all bad and should have been thrown out of the house including his wife who slaved over him and dedicated herself to him 40 years of marriage, and She held the marriage while he gambled and gambled.
He pressured her to get divorce but Mom never granted it, because she didn't want to lose anything.
He would say UNTRUTHFUL BAD things to us family members and try to make us hate each other, and he would say anything to strangers about us as a family that were NOT true.
To this day, I absolutely HATE going to dad's grave, as I feel he is not at rest and he was evil to us as a family.
He left us broke breaking the Family Trust account and gambled it all, and left us with over $30,000 in household damages he failed to repair. He purposely wanted to see us on the streets.

Sounds like he was a lil bit of both. He probably held a grudge on your mom and thought he needed to do everything in his power to see her suffer. Also to make the family suffer so your mom would feel even worse. His evil thinking probably drove him to insanity.

My Father was the same way except for the gambling. To be honest, we never knew what he did with the money. I am 37 now, two kids, and I very rarely talk to him as he is still alive. However, I thank him on occasion for making me the kind, loving understanding parent I am today. I teach my kids the value of family and the value of money...why? I refused to allow his traditions to go on. I don't think it's your Dad that is not at rest, I think it's you. It took me a long time to realize it too, but once I did, it was like a breath of fresh air. Sometimes the hardships in life is what makes us better people. We just have to choose that route.

I dont think anyone in thier RIGHT mind would say that. U know? I read what u said and I have NOTHING to be mad about my childhood with my dad. I can tell this is hurting u inside still,.... but somewhere deep inside ur dad, I am sure he was not sane. Deep, deep deep,.. he loved u in his own way. The bible says: The price of sin is your life.
He has allready paid in full his sins

He was probably just sick and miserable. But I'll tell you what, he would absolutely love it if he knew how you were still obsessing over him. Let it go.
