ok.my 11 year old daughter claims she's fat.I tell her she is not but she wont believe me.

she's perfectly normal. When i was 11, I was 5'6" and i weighed 160lbs, but i didn't gain any more weight, I only got taller. I am 21 now, and I am 5'11" and still weigh 160lbs. We all grow at different rates, and we are all different heights and sizes. You should teach her some about self confidence. So many young girls are pressured, and all it takes to fight that pressure is a bit of self confidence. Teach her that she is beautiful just the way she is =)

She is a string bean. What a shame at 11 girls are worried about being fat. Try and convince her that she is a beautiful young girl and it wouldn't matter if she was 300 lbs she would be perfect. Find a weight chart and show her she is exactly the right weight for her age and height. If you still can't convince her than have her head examined lol. Sound like someone has self esteem issues. Help her with that. Good Luck!

no, not fat - she is going to sprout up about 4 inches in the next year or two and all of her weight will spread out and she will be just fine!
