ok so i need to know are you suppose to wait till the leftovers cool down and then refrigirate them?? or are you suppose to refrigerate them immeadiately?? my mom and friends say let them cool, but on tv i always hear immediately?? who knows the truth??

refrigerate immeadiately, as you don't want any bacteria to grow. if you cool down 1st ,bacteria will grow .

Let them cool a bit. Otherwise it will bring down the temp of the fridge.

i say let them cool because it's more energy-efficient. if you put hot food in the fridge, then it warms the interior of the fridge and all the food inside it and the fridge has to work to cool it back down. also, putting hot food in tupperware and sandwich bags might be bad because the plastic might melt or something.

I put them in the tupperware bowls and leave the lids half on, so the steam goes, and they cool. after the dishes are done, then I put in the fridge.

I think it would be after it cools...
Putting it in the frig while its hot might spoil the food..

your supose to let it cool before you put it in the fridge

Well, I would refridgerate it immediately so it makes it in there fresh as ever.

YOU HAVE TO LET IT COME TO ROOM TEMPERATURE BEFORE YOU PUT IT IN THERE OR IT WILL MESS UP UR FRIDGE EVENTUALLY.
