Definately. My uncle has a dog that is not only lactose intollerant (he loves milk for some reason) but is allergic to so many things that he needs to get special food and even has some pills to take.

Definitely. You can use a number of OTC medications for them but the dose depends on the size of dog so always check with your vet . It is helpful if you can narrow down what the possible allergen might be so note any new foods, shampoos, time of year, flea bites?(this is a real common one),etc. Some breeds are more prone to allergies than others.

Yes and they can have all sorts of symptoms from itchy skin and eyes to running noses and everything in between.
Many are allergic to things in dog food. Most of the time corn or wheat or soy are the big ones but it can be anything from food stuff to things used in house cleaning.

Yes, my aunt had a sharpei who was allergic to everything except cat hair and bird feathers. She had to get cortisone shots every month to control the itching.
