He's in one of my classes, and he seems like a really nice person, he's just very shy. I'm confident and pretty outgoing and we talk sometimes but he's very quiet. He seems so sweet and I would love to go to Homecoming with him but since he's shy I don't know if he would even ask. Should I give him a hint? What should I do?

My son is a shy guy and I think it would definately take a girl being very forward to get him talking. Also shy nice guys like NICE girls. My son is very good looking, strong, smart, and nice but for some reason he doesn't go for the "pretty popular" he goes for the nice girls.

I'd go beyond giving him a hint - I'd just ask him. After a while he'll loosen up with you and bring down some of his barriers - it will take time, but I assure you it will be worth it.
Good Luck!

Well, if he is shy and you are outgoing, he's probably not gonna ask you out. That doesn't mean anything except that he is probably afraid. Why don't you ask him to homecoming??

you could trying giving him a note asking about homecoming.not always easy to hold a conversation with shy people.i was real shy in school and never went to prom or homecoming.or you could bring up the subject while talking to him.

Ask him if he would want to go with you, but if it gets this far dont be the one to ask him out. Just drop a lot of hints and flirt, and he'll figure it out eventually.

I would totally give him the hint. I bet he likes you too, he might be too shy to make the first move. Maybe talk to one of his friends.

strike up a conversation about homecoming and ask him if he's going to it. If he says he's not sure, just ask him then who will i talk to if you don't go? then if he smiles, suggest that he can go with you. doesn't hurt to suggest you go together.

Be different - ask him!

Most probably he really likes you, but just doesn't have the courage to ask - so ask him, and I am sure he will say YES!
