I have a dark laminate flooring (brazilian walnut), stone colored sofa with sienna and black accent pillows and sage draperies. The floor lamps, drapery rods, and coffe table are also black. Any suggestions for the color of the walls? Right now the living room is yellow and does not quite work with the rest of the colors.

first thing: dont buy paint from home depot or lowes as some other answers suggested.. buy Sherwin Williams (Green Spec Series) or Benjamin Moore's (Eco Spec) you will be very happy and healthy with no odor, low voc paint..
second i would consider going red/orange family.... it could look very elegant or very messy depending upon the shades you pick... so another thing you could do is.. buy samples of the shades you like.. paint portion of wall and live with it for a week.. only you can decide what looks best with you room lighting level.. ceiling height and other accessories.. that how room could and should look.. hope this helps. :)

While reading your room description my first thought was the walls should be a rich golden yellow. There is a specific color I've seen that looks very chic. Have you considered a slip cover and different pillows instead of changing the wall color?

I have found that going to Lowe's or Home Depot and looking at the color swatches is very helpful. Perhaps a shade of blue would or green would look good as well. Good Luck.

Neon Pink? heh, ive no idea.. White is always an option.. goes with everything.. sorta.. you could look around online for some ideas.. or goto the library and look in some of the mgazines..
your best bet would prolly be to goto a paint store and look for the color sample things, find the colors you already have in the room, then find one you like to go with it.. some stores sell small sample size paints, which is enough to paint about a 3x3' section of wall to see how it looks.. or else jus find a color and try it.. if you dont like it.. you can always paint over it!

I would go with a sage or a nice cocoa color to really bring out the deep tones in your wood.

I can't think of a better color than one to match your draperies.Maybe one shade lighter than the drapes but still, the sage sounds great with the blacks and browns.

A dark tan. It will not contrast too much to take your eye away from your furnishings but provide a warm transition for the persons eye.

-Considering the colores........you should paint the walls white. You should because of the -brazilian walnut- and the -black-
-It would complement both colores!

a punch of color-- red, terra cotta or pumpkin would be some good choices. check out behr.com and you can look up colors and tune a color just the way you like it.

Sounds like my daughter's living room. They did the walls in faux leather paint--a cocoa brown. She added some deep red lamps on her end tables. Looks awesome. Thanks.

First thing that comes to mind is a terracotta color, something warm and neutral, and not too dark or too light. Think....Tuscan sunset.
