It depends what food it is going to be served with. You can do just about anything, I suggest you use good organic spices.
If your serving with chicken add a little thyme and rosemary.
If your serving with fish add a little dill.
Mexican try chili powder.

there is this spice that i really love. Its a creole seasoning. It will give your rice (or any dish for that matter) a bit of a kick and a lot of flavor.

Saffron is excellent with rice. Other good ones are cinnamon if your looking for something sweet or chili for spice.
