Satan does need to strategize. The cause for separation is simple. Disobey God's commands. To unite ourselves with God are, "Do not add anything to it Do not make any changes on the law and do not omit anything not even the least stroke of pen". Human mistake is oftentimes committed on our disatisfaction to the law. Yes, we are given the intelligence and many times we alwyas need to find the answer to it. Is has never been enough for us to say just yes to the law of God, we still have to ask so many whys. If we cannot find, we always tend to make our own interpretation and that is when we give opportunity to Satan to deceive us .
You qouted Isaiah 14;14 and you call Satan who desires to be like the most high. I would suggest you go back to that Book and read it from the start of the chapter 14. You will find it is not Satan because the Morning Star there is a man and not Satan. That man was the victim of Satan. In the Book of King James Version, the meaning of the word Morning Star is Lucifer and Son of the
Dawn is "a Child of a Young mother". After that you read REV 22:16 and tell me who is the Morning Star.
There is no other meaning for the word Sabbath except the Seventh Day. Kabalists and other searchers normally are always tempted to give meaning to every word described in the Hebrew or Aramaic texts in their search for the name of God.
The observation of the Sabbath Day is the sign between the people of Israel and God for generations to come. As in what you said Eternal Sign of the Father with the Jews not as how you worded it. A wrong interpretation would further lead us to His curse.
The Old Testaments are words of God as given to His Prophets. The New Testaments show the story of compliance to the Old. The book of Revelation tells us if everything was accomplished. Revelation should no longer be written had the man foretold to save Israel accomplished His mission. So, now the curse instead of God's blessings is what we always experience because Satan for the nth times deceived the man on a mission thus deceived the world.

If I were to start listing off all the ways Satan decieves people, I have to say that worshiping God on one day or the other would not be on the top of my list.

Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He desires worship.
As for the Sabbath, because of Christ's work we live under grace, not under law.

Revelation. "For the accuser of our brothers is cast out - who night and day accused them before God."
Satan is OUR adversary. OUR accuser. We sin. He runs and tattles. Hoping to get us kicked out of Heaven.
Your interpetation of the word Sabbath is incorrect. According to the Jewish Encyclopedia it just means REST.

If he can get you to leave any cracks open , he can get a foothold and once inside he is really hard to get rid of.

the best weapon that satan uses is temptation
he tempts you not to pray, to hate, have fear, doubts, false illusions, to be insecure, to feel depressed etc.
