Draft beer is sold in kegs, and these are always recycled. Bottles are sometimes recycled, and hold a lot less, so the cost per pint of the packaging is much higher with bottled beer.

A keg is cheaper than 20 cases, and there is usually less ounces in a draft beer(about 10 oz.) then there is in a bottle beer(12 oz).

Mainly because draft comes in a keg which is returned to the company. Bottles are packaged individually and packaging costs more.

Because bottles are expensive.
They actually cost more than the beer that fills them...no kidding.

Because it's cheaper to fill a keg than individual bottles.

Because you get what you pay for.
There is no need for bottling, no caps to install, no cartons to pack and it takes up less space on the truck. Cheaper from brewery to your house.

It's cheap to transport. They fill giant kegs which can be manhandled and require little to no protection during transit.
No labels, no glass, no crates.
