The Romans and the jews. They each had their own agenda. They both wanted to get rid of Jesus. The jews said that He was being blasphemous and the romans got mad because He came and was trying to change everything.

The Jews at the time had no implements of torture. Neither did they have a court system which could sentence a man to death.
But they lived in occupied Israel. The Roman Empire had governing control of the land, and Rome did have laws, courts, and the ability to sentence a man to death.

The Jews knew they could trump up charges against Jesus by telling the Romans that Jesus was claiming to be God.
Rome worships thier gods, the Caesars.

The Jews conspired; Jesus was turned over to Roman authoroties, and they tortured Him.

The Jews were the ones that wanted Jesus to be tortured and crucified becsause Jesus were telling the Jews that they were no longer in good faith with the Lord because they were gambling, selling things on holy land.(in front of the Jewish church). The romans were the ones who did the actualy torturing cause at the time it was them that governed that land.

There's alot I don't understand about this. As far as I know the Romans weren't Jews. If you're refering to Judas, he may have been a Jew. But if Jesus needed to die to save us, then shouldn't we be thanking Judas for helping, kind of like clapping for a magician's assistant? Wouldn't someone else have turned Jesus in if Judas wasn't there, if it were God's master plan? If Jesus knew Judas was setting a trap ("The one dipping his bread into the wine will betray me"), and he went anyway, does that mean Jesus commited suicide? There's a lot I don't understand. Personally, I believe people just like having someone to hate, it brings them closer together as a group.

The only believers of the biblical God were all Jews before the New Testament and Jesus. They were just not called that then. A lot of people ask that question without thinking....what else could there even be back then before Christianity. There could be Jews, non-believers, or pagans. It was the believers who were angry for Jesus proclaiming he was the son of God. I guess they ignored him when he said that they were all his brethren. (brothers)

Black Africans! All of the biblical facts, including JESUS which wasn't his real name in the first place was out of AFRICA. How could a "blond hair-blue eyed" person EVER flee to Jerusalem and become incognito. Please!!!
