I've taken it for about three months now. I had a major drugged up feeling for about a week, but that's completely gone now. The only thing I notice regularly is that I'm thirstier than I used to be and my body temp's higher.
I've heard that if you're taking it for anxiety, it can cause your nervousness to get worse, but I haven't noticed anything like that.

I don't have fond memories of Celexa. I sought help for self-diagnosed depression in late 1999 and was prescribed Celexa. I was asked if I'd ever been manic and I actually replied "possibly, in the spring" and the doctor didn't follow that up. To make a long story short, in the end the Celexa worked too well and helped push me into another manic episode, which was so bad I finally got diagnosed properly.
Anti-depressants carelessly prescribed can cause mania in the vulnerable and I have to wonder how many (manic) depressives out there only became manic-depressive after being prescribed an anti-depressant (since they are so readily prescribed these days.)

I took it for 30 days. It was after my mother died. I felt it helped me not to be as sad. I suddenly started noticing bruising all over my body. My doctor didn't think it was from the Celexa, but I never had that happen before that. I stopped taking it. He felt I didn't need it anyway. It was his nurse practitioner who prescribed it to me. I don't know that 30 days was long enough to really have any side effects other than that for me. I wish you the best of health.
