my girlfriend Mel wants me to get light blonde highlights in my medium blonde hair. Her mom is a hairstylist and said that she would be glad to highlight my hair. Should i do it? Girls do you like you bf's to have highlights? Wil they look good?

Think of it this way, if you want to keep your girlfriend, let her do whatever she wants with your hair.
Guys who are obsessed with their hair and won't let anyone touch it come across as being jerks and not fun at all - there's nothing sexier than a guy who will let his woman take over his hair! Honestly.
And if your friends give you crap for it, tell them to go and get stuffed becuase you've got a girl and they don't (that is if they're single lol).
The great thing is that she's not asking you to get her name tattooed on your arm - it's hair, it grows out and seriously, I know I'm a female but I wouldn't give up the opportunity to get my hair done for free!
AND you're winning points with her mom too! Use it as time to get further into her mom's good books and have some time getting to know her and her mom better.
Have you met her mom before? If not this could be her subtle way of getting you to meet her mom - either way let it happen. Hair grows out or you can always get it cut - or just wear hats - weather is cooling down, and hats are always in - be they baseball, winter beanies etc.
I think all signs point to GO FOR IT!!!!

You can't go wrong on this one, dude. Highlights cost lots of cash. You're getting it done for free from a hairstylist. Go for it.

I would try it, and if you don't like it, you could always just shave your hair off! My bf did the blonde high-lights on blonde hair once and I liked it!

It won't be that much of a difference, it's not like you have black hair and are getting platinum highlights! Go for it!

I like my men to look good naturally but a few highlights shouldn't do any harm. But it is Autumn now and the sunkissed look is out.

You shouldn't do so unless you are comfortable about it. If you don't want to do it, than don't do it. You should not have to change your appearance just because somebody else tells you to. If you feel you would like to try it, than go ahead and give it a try then.

it looks awesome, I admire straight guys with highlights,
however, where do you live?
if you live in a big city go ahead, but do not do it if you live in a small town. guys will bug you like if you were gay.

Don't do what your girlfriend wants you to do. It's your hair you will have to live with it. So it should be based on your opinion not someone elses.
