Would you take pleasure in seeing a baby violently killed before your eyes and looking on as the mother holds the baby in her arms grieving?
Well, God takes no pleasure in the destruction of souls in hell - especially since He knows every one and has been calling out to every one to turn from destruciton. But the sin has to be stopped. And hell is the holding tank, so to speak; it's where sin is stopped.
And not only that, but God is more personally involved than just being an onlooker. He's revealing His love and goodness on a daily basis. Jesus is standing at the door and knocking on every heart all through the day every day of the week.
Jesus wants our souls because He shed His own blood. It was the price that had to be paid for the sin of Adam - which we were all born under. Not one of us can get out of the fact that we are the descendants of Adam, and the state Adam was in when he conceived his first child was sin. So, that sin was passed down from his generation to ours, and every child from this point is born under it. And every person must choose - God's provision for the way out of sin or the way of sin and separation from God.
Anyone who's actually taken the time out of the hustle and bustle of this life to seek God, to get to know Him and live in His presence can hear the intensity of the longing when He cried in the garden, "Adam, where are you?" He loved Adam - intensely. He had a relationship with him. They were tight! They were hanging out. And Adam's sin cut him off from God's presence, and God felt that. He felt it deeper than we could ever know.
Today, if you could really listen you could hear him say, "Where are you?" Just as He loved Adam, He loves you. You're Adam's offspring. God's intense about His commitment to family. He just wants all of Adam's sons and daughters to be cut off from the sin that separates them from Him home safe with Him. That's all it's about for him.
The devil, on the other hand, is just into destruction; he gets off on it because he hates God. He attempted once to overthrow God and exalt his own throne above God's but was immediately ejected out of heaven. So he's pissed. And man, being made in God's own image after his own likeness (Genesis 1:26, 27), well, he hates him too.

God wants your soul because he loves you and wants to bless you with gifts on earth, and have you in his company for eternity.
Satan wants your soul because he hates God and would like to steal that which God created.
God wants your soul so that you may thrive. Satan wants your soul so that you may die.
God does not buy souls, so you cannot sell yours to him. Satan does make deals for them.
But since Satan cannot own souls--God does--what you "give" to Satan isn't yours to give or his to take. Whatever price Satan has offered, you are both trafficking with fake currency. What this means is that sin shall be destroyed, so that no matter one's apparent "gain" on earth by bargaining with the devil, it is empty.

I don't have to "sell my soul." I am God's child. I have accepted Jesus Christ as my savior and I will be with the rest of God's children when we inherit the kingdom. I try my best to resist the devil.

I do not think you are actually selling your soul, The Almighty One wants to save your soul and the devil wants to destroy it.

I am selling my soul to no one. It already belongs to God. They both want to have the mojority on their side. However, it really does not matter since it has been foretold how this is going to end.

If you understood the true beauty of my soul you'd want it too.
I'm still accepting bids.

I willingly GAVE my heart to God, not sold. He wants our hearts because he created us, and he loves us enough to give us free will. He wants us to love him back, and he knows that love is not love unless its chosen freely. Therefore, we should gladly choose to return our soul to him. :)
