Does Paxil increase weight gain?

I have been on Paxil now for almost a year, and I was wondering if it causes weight gain, it seems like 2 years ago I weighed 220, now I found myself weighing 260, I am dieting and excersizing now.. does Paxil have anything to do with weight gain?

Yes, according to two psychiatrists I consulted. Basically, it makes you crave carbohydrates, and you tend to eat more and not the best foods either, and without noticing. If you exercise extreme will-power and work out a lot, you could lose some weight ans stay stable. But it is an uphill battle with most SSRIs.
