it is difficult to explain what heaven looks like from a personal point of view. I am still living and probably no one living now really knows what it exactly looks like.
The only heaven I know is the happiness I feel here on earth.
Heaven, in the real sense, they say has endless beauty. A lot of descriptions have been made by many people who have claimed they've been there (those who experienced near death experience). But we really never know unless our souls drift into that place. We just all hope that it is indeed beautiful and full of love as everyone (including Jesus) describes it to be.

Heaven isn't exactly explained in the bible, but we do know this. In heaven there is no pain, crying, sadness or death (Revelations 21:4). We know that when we get to heaven, God gives us knew and perefect bodies (i forget where this is). In Revelations heaven is described by Paul, though this is heaven after the rapture, so it amy be different now. However this is what is described:
There is a throne in heaven with some sitting on it, it is encircled by a rainbow that looks like an emerald. Around this throne are 24 other thrones with 24 elders on them. Before the throne is seven lamps and a sea of glass. (revelations 4:2-6)
There are strange holy creatures in heaven like lions, oxes, eagles, and a man with 6 wings and covered in eyes (Revelations 4: 6b-8)
I could go on, but actual description doesn't really matter. The point is, your Grandma is happy and with God, she has a perfect body, and will never be sick, or sad, or hurt again. That's all that really matters.

In Heaven you will have everything you need to make you perfectly happy.
My husband of 30 years died 4 years ago. He was very ill before he died and could barely walk from one room to the next. I picture him walking around heaven on the clouds with our two dogs. Or sitting in a rocking chair with our cat Salem on his lap. Salem really loved him and would spend the whole day on his lap when he was unable to get up.
I always pictured heaven looking like the view from a plane when you are flying through the clouds. Cloudland.

Hi! I hope this helps, it has helped me!
TO THOSE I HAVE LOVED, AND TO THOSE WHO HAVE LOVED ME
When I am gone - release me - let me go
I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears,
Be happy we had so many years.
I gave you my love - you can only guess
how much you gave to me in happiness.
I than you for the love you each have shown
but now it's time I travel on alone.
So grieve for me if grieve you must.
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a while that we must part
so bless the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away, for life goes on.
So if you need me - call an I will come -
though you can't see or touch me I'll be near.
And if you listen within your heart you will hear
all my love around you, soft and clear.
And when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and welcome you home.
—— annon.
You seem very intelligent and were born that way. High school can be a farce not even teaching you how to balance a check book, let alone how to deal with the death of a loved one. Religion? . . . nothing, they don't teach you about life and they can't teach you about death.
I'm not sure about death, "Nobody's ever died and lived to tell about it!"
Write me if you like.

well, first of all...they dont teach you religion in high school...unless it's catholic high school or something...they teach you about evolution...which is not good...dont believe in that crap...the bible says that God created all things from nothing and you should always remember that....second,no one knows what heaven is like...but before you go to heaven for the Lord's judgement...you stay in paradise for a while....here are some scriptures you could read to get a clue on what heaven is like...Revelations chapter 4...i hope it'll help!!!

You really need to talk to a minister. He can help you understand your grief.
