Remember the Golden Rule:

Do not do unto others what you don't want them to do unto you.

It is not right to laugh at the misfortunes of others. We all have them. Only in varying degrees. It doesn't matter if it's healthy person, a pregnant woman, or an old man. We should put ourselves in the shoes of the unfortunate person and help them if we could. Something worse than falling over the street can happen to anyone of us.

I read somewhere: "You never know when you're going to need help badly, so give help when you could." It'll come back to you in tenfolds.

It would depend on the person. If it was someone I knew well, I'd probably laugh and joke about it. If it was a stranger or someone that seemed to have special health concerns, I would be more interested in if they were okay.

I didn't have to see it. I'm laughing out load just reading the question.

I have fallen over on the street and laughed at myself.

You other people should relax a bit. It's a hypothetical question. IT DIDN'T REALLY HAPPEN.

But it would be hilarious if it did!

My very first impulse would be to laugh, but I'd stifle my laugh, see if they're okay and if they are then I'd quietly laugh to myself about the whole situation. And about the golden rule I'd want someone to laugh while helping me when I fall because it is funny and lightens the whole situation up. I'd be laughing so hard at myself.

Just being me I'd have to say yes, unless it was an old person and that would just be sad. I'd probably be laughing on the inside though.

If it was an elderly citizen or a pregnant lady or a disabled person I wouldn't.....otherwise probably yes! Just human nature to be tickled by slapstick I guess. I would help them up though

So let me get this straight, you want them to fall over and hit their head, but don't get hurt? I think they are going to get hurt regardless, and if you laugh at them, it is not only their body that will be hurting, but there self esteem as well.

Think about whether or not you would want people laughing at you if it happenned to you.

I think most of us would have a 1st reaction to giggle. I don't mean pointing and a roll over laugh. But a quite giggle. And then we would walk over and help them up and ask them if their alright. It happened to me and the person giggled and helped me and then I giggled to . It help to laugh at your self sometime.

I saw a lady fall down some steps and said out loud "that's gotta hurt!"

If they were ok I'd definitely laugh. I can't help it, I always laugh at that kind of thing. Apparently subconsciously we laugh at that kind of thing out of relief that it's not happening to us, but I don't know, I think I laugh at it cos it's funny.
