All bumper stickers are annoying and lame. If I have something to say, I live it, I don't advertise it.

Be more imaginative dude! Like putting a lame bumper-sticker on somebody elses car or truck. Like I'm gonna put MEN
HATER on a couple of cars of busybodies I used to work with.
I AM NOT A WOMAN HATER!

I don't think its lame to have a religious bumper sticker on your car as long as you don't commit sin through your bumper sticker like have something on there that God would't approve of and as long as your worshipping Jesus Christ and not false idols then I don't think its lame I just think its saints of God showing their love and dedication to God. Their representing God which is a good thing. People have everything else representing nonsense so why not show your love for God on your vehicle.

It's not only lame (if you're truly a part of your respective religion there should be no need for you to advertise it, it just comes across as insecure to me) but it goes against the 2nd commandment by some interpretations.

The problem with interpretations, and the many translations the testament(s) has gone through one could pull any meaning from just about any passage. So you'd be sure to get many different opinions of the 2nd. Just remember they are all opinions, not even the pope himself can correctly interpret the bible, since many fellow Christians would even disagree with him.

Anyway, back on topic....Yes it's lame.

I have an atheist bumper sticker on my car. I do it to remind Christians and other religious people that atheists are Americans, too. Atheists don't organize as well as the various religions, so it is important to make ourselves more visible to we can't be so easily ignored.

I don't find that lame at all. Everyone should feel free to express himself. Do you not believe in liberty of expression and free assembly?

Now, one that says "Honk if you love Ewoks!"--that would be lame. "If God is within, I hope He likes enchiladas" is pretty cool, though.

not as lame as acting as if you are superior and those who broadcast their beliefs. From the way you state your question it appears you are not superior to many, or perhaps any.
