I married a wonderfu man 2 years ago and he has a 16 year old daughter and i have a 16 year old daughter, born the same year, same day, six hours apart. I stay home and take care of the kids as I have 2 other girls also. The oldest ones give me so much crap its unreal.. The biggest thing is this..
we go them cell phone like a year and a half ago to keep in touch with them, because there driving now...
well we have told them over and over that 12 midnight is the cut off time to talk on the phone. than i was getting bills and looking at them and they had 1am, 2am, 3am and 4 am calls.. I told them one more time it was to stop or i will pull the phones...
So now they both decided to mute the house phone and switch nights talking on that to their boyfriends all night... I caught them last night because I called the house phone just to see and it was busy, they both say " Its not me" i could not find the phone, i searched all night,and when i got up, there it was on charger.

I have taken their phones.. the fact is they think its funny. It was funny watching me search for an hour for the phone to find nothing

ty all, i have started a bootcamp here at my house.. NO tv, No computer, No radio, no driving, no boyfriends NOTHING..for around a month..thanks for the help..

My first ? 2 u is: WHO PAYS THE COST 2 B THE BOSS? Do the kids run the house and pay the bills ordo you and your husband? When did two 16 yr. olds become grown? Take the cell phones, the house phones and car keys and let's see who wants 2 play games. Don't be pushed around by their blantant disrespect for u and ur husband. Take your control back or tell them there is always the huckleberry house(4 teens with no where to go), maybe they will respect the thought of being able to go and get locked out and have to follow rules..Goodluck

Move all of the house phones to your room at night
or
disconnect the house phones at night (except in your room)
or
tell them if the house phone is ever busy at night again their cell phones will get pulled for a month

Take all the phones way or cancell the service and if they want they must pay for it and take the phones away at 10pm.
For the phone stunt punish them, they clearly feel they have no rules or that you will enforce them.

Cancel your existing phone line and get one installed in your bedroom and leave the door locked!
