Your vet can let you know for sure if it's something you need to worry about.
It could be a reaction to a bug bite or bee sting.
It could be a dental problem, such as an infected tooth or gum disease.
Wort case scenario, it could be a tumor.
Have your vet check it out. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst (just in case).
Best of luck!

I would. Especially if it has gotton substantially bigger within a week. It sounds like it may possibly be a "Hema-toma"(I'm not sure if that's how it's spelled), which is almost like a blood blister, it's a broken bloodvessel that continues to bleed under the skin(my dog had one on his ear, the vet said give it time and the body re-absorbs it, but some require medical attention, it depends on the size). Usually it occurs from bumping into something hard or rough play.
Take your dog to the vets to get it checked out, definitly. If you are even the littlest bit worried-go see the vet.

Take the dog to the vet, my old dog has lumpies all over ,and the vet said it was excess tissue growth, like scars that had healed with too much tissue. They may be nothing, but to be sure you have to see the vet.

Yes.
It might be nothing, but your best bet is to get him into a vet right away so that they can biopsy it.
Any lump that is getting bigger must be looked at by a professional!!

I would sugest that you take your dog to the vet ASAP. It may be nothing, but if you really love your dog, spend that extra money and get it checked out!

If it were a human, I would suspect mouth cancer. Get him checked.
Good luck!
