Love should have taught you that you should be glad those people were taken away and did not leave by their own free will.

Hey bud. Someone once said "It is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all" While poetically that statement is beautific, I would say that they are the same thing. Without loss, pain, hate, and all of the negative sides of love as an emotion, we wouldn't be able to experience it in the first place. I think love is worth the pain, kind of like an innoculation.
Peace.

All relationships are temporary. Either people you love will go away or die or you'll die. In any case, all relationships end.
Therefore, it's not really something worth worrying about.
Instead, think of all great times you had with the person. Enjoy relationships while you have them. Afterwards, instead of dwelling on how it ended, be glad of having the opportunity to have the middle part.
If you've lost someone to death, their memories live on with you. They still have an affect on your life. My wife died of cancer. She would have died if I was with her or if I had never known her. I'm glad I got to know her before she died, and I'm glad I was able to help her through some hard times.

Love didn't take away your family and friends away from you and no it is not out to teach you a hard lesson in life. I don't know why your family and friends were taken away from you. But the author of love is God. God is love. He loves you and no I don't understand Him especially in your situation but I do know that he wants to help you. I have noticed those that hurt the most are the ones who recieve the most comfort and grace when they ask God for help. The family I loved was taken away from me when I was young and I have had to learn to trust God even in the midst of that great pain. I have no family members that is naturally mine. God has proved his love and grace over and over to me when I felt like I could not go on or understand the situation. You can't blame your loss on love but on the curse of sin that dominates mankind and Earth. God can help you arise above that if you ask him for Help.

you have learned the ultimate about love bob
you have learned that it is the most important experience that a person can have
and sadly we dont realise the extent of it till we miss it
but the thing with love is ... it is so strong ... it doesnt go away not even death can do that
take time sweetheart ... you will look back at the love you shared with a smile and not with tears xx

It isn't that you have done anything wrong or incompletely.
Love is one of those thing where if you try to think of all of its definitions and relationships around the globe; you get the similar "tree falls and no one is around to hear it does it make a noise" zen moments.
Love is the most pleasuresome and painful thing in life and you can choose to stick with it or run out of fear of it's power.

Every single person that you have loved, has died? That sounds really sad, but you must love more than just these people!
