I know it's been asked why anyone who doesn't like Jesus being the way to heaven would want to go there when He is ruling and reigning as the ultimate authority there.

But what I want to know is, why would anyone reject Jesus as being the way to heaven when they haven't truly opened their hearts to experience Him? If you haven't tried a certain food, how do you know you don't like it? The Bible says to taste and see that the Lord is good!

The only way to taste is to be willing to lose the pride of self-rulership, I admit. In other words, the only way to really know Jesus is to humble oneself & call out to Him from that earnest, heartfelt place of humility & ask Him to come in.

If you've only known one way of life how can you say another way is undesirable? Or if you tried Jesus & say it didn't work for you, can you look Jesus in the eye & say you truly yielded to His way, or, if you were to be really honest admit that you probably tried to get Him to conform to your way?

Sorry, Suicide Blonde. I have a God I am accountable to obey, and you are not Him. He commanded me to preach, and so, preach I will do!

But thank you for your response. It lets me know I am doing the right thing.

Parrot: How do you know I haven't tried Buddha and other ideals. I tasted a lot of things before I tasted of Jesus.

And, if the Bible says to taste and see, regardless of what you and others think, I'm well off to do it and taste and see.

Many may have tried church, but have they tried God? Did they truly try God, or were they looking to man to be their answer?

Chloe, thank you for some honesty here.

Yes, all these things are true. And it breaks God's heart that we damage each other and neglect one another the way we do. He would love to show us a better way. The thing is, He will only go as far in showing as a person shows willingness to be led by Him.

And, yes, it is scary to be so loved. But as you so poignantly pointed out, it is worth it! His love is worth surrendering to. Again, it all comes down to being willing to taste and see.

Very good stuff girl! You are there!

Heaven is like the Garden of Eden before Adam and Eve sinned

"Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walkig in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the Garden." Genesis 3:8

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (3 in oneand also God, Chirst, and the Holy Spirit) lived amounst Adam, Eve, and their offspring until they sinned. This is telling in many ways toward your answer.

First, people who don't "like Jesus being the way and wouldn't want to go there when he is ruling" is because they are still hiding. They see Jesus, as well as, God as a damning God, and not as a merciful and graceful God, and he is all of those. Repentance.

Secondly, most people, including Christinas, I think have a distorted view of Heaven. We can't even picture it because ................well, we can't. I'll tell you this much. God wil be living amoungst us. I don't know where Heaven is or what it will be like. That is partly because our pea sized brains cannot comprehend the magnitude of his glory! Some view Heaven as acourt room. some as a farm, some a garden, and still some a building. I like when you said "tried to get him to conform to our way". That is so true and part of the reason we can't accept all he is offering.

Thirdly, you used the word "Ultimate Authority". I will use this word. Friend, Prince of Peace, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, God Almighty, Savior, Holy Spirit, Ruler, The Judge, I am, and God. There are many more, however my point is this. Those whom you say see him as the Ultimate Authority, are they not the ones attempting to "hide thier sins". God, loves those who love him. God knows everything about us wether we admit it or not. Those that don't are simply still hiding.

Yes come taste, the Lord is Good! Jesus is Lord!

The only flaw in your argument is that I could turn that logic right back around on you, and say, "Well, how do you know that the way of the Buddha is not good if you've never experienced it?" Well, how DO you know? Were you ever a Buddhist? How do you know that the way of the god or gods of OTHER religions aren't good either? How do you know you don't like it?

See what I mean?

***

You're saying that you were at one point were a Buddhist? Okay, well, that's cool then. A little surprising, though, honestly.

And how do you know that the people who aren't Christian haven't "opened their hearts"? Every single person here who isn't Christian knows exactly why, including me. We (the non-Christians) have all looked into that "other way of life" and we've determined that we didn't want it. So I'm not really sure what you're saying. It's not like anyone here knows nothing about Christianity but just automatically decided that they didn't want it.

Well, first you have to think the whole concept isn't completely ridiculous. That may be quite hard for many.

To answer you question in general, yes, many people who reject the idea have actually been a part of a church and found it to be...lacking.

People just have guilt issues.

They have broken relationships and broken lives.

Their mothers and fathers didn't love them like they were "supposed" to love them.

Their spouces or partners didn't love them like they were "supposed" to.

Since they didn't get the love they wanted in their everyday lives, there is a hesitation when facing it in their spiritual lives.

Everyone else has let them down, so why should they be safe with God.

Not to mention, if God is true to his promise, then they suddenly feel incredible guilt and fear being judged.

It's hard to love.

It's harder to be loved but in the end, it's worth it.

That is the dumbest **** I have ever heard. Jesus is not some food I have never tried. He's a man who live a long time ago. He is not the son of god, nor is he food.
