make you realize that church is a business, and its business is to take your money? How horrible is this to say about another Christian?

-------->

"The Church is the corporate body of Christ. As scriptures tell us He is the Head of the Church and we the body. Therefore, if a Christian never sets foot in a Church (that is be with the community and worship and serve with them), could they even be considered Christian? Since it is in Christ, through the Holy Spirit, that we are all gathered as one body, would a Christian believe they are faithful if they alienate themselves from that body (Church)?

"CHURCH IS THE CORPORATE BODY OF CHRIST" I think this came from a priest!

How does that make you feel?

That's what they think, no changing that.

I don't feel alienated from Christ or God by not stepping into a church to listen to someone screw up the meaning of scriptures. In fact, when I attend church, I'm reminded as to why I never liked them!! No real answers, just jargon.

It's called legalism, the Christians are the church, not the building. I don't consider someone who is a Christian but doesn't go to church to be a sinner for it. In fact, it is better for a christian to stay out of a church if it is nothing but a religious money vaccum.

In this context, the word corporate is referring to the church's structure, not a business.

In a corporation there is only one leader. The CEO. The Christian religion is like this, one leader. The First Commandment states it too. "Thou shall have no other Gods before Me".

He's the boss, He's the Christian corporate CEO.

I don't feel anything......I believe that a true christian doesn't necessarily need to step into a church. How about this..............In Revelation (Bible), it speaks about the beast getting stab, and its wounds healing up....Also about the beast coming out of the waters............Do you think that the beast that the Bible speaks about is the U.S.A? >>>>9/11, heals up! Came out of the waters when it was discovered by Christopher Columbus......

Why is it so scary? It is true, the church is run as a business. You can't really think that they run off of donations alone do you. They pay salaries for their ministers, and the churches get bigger and bigger every year. Come on.

Wow, when I was Christian I never went to church, I always believed that if god existed he could be found out among his creations, not in a man-made building. Church always kinda creeped me out, I always felt like I was trying to be forced into faith...

A priest is Catholic.....need anyone say more? I think not. Christian and Catholic are not the same at all. Yes that is a scarey thought but not true. Pray for the ignorant person who made the comment

its the most rediculous thing i've heard...it appears to be someone trying to justify the trend of putting money above scripture,learning and growth..sadly a trend that is growing ..and they wonder why their congregations are shrinking.

It doesn't tell me anything I already know. The majority of chritian organizations are out for money and riches, I'm not surprised it was stated that way.
