Does this basic law of nature prevent Evolution?

If Evolution is true, there must be an extremely powerful force or mechanism at work in the cosmos that can steadily defeat the powerful, ultimate tendency toward "disarrangedness" brought by the 2nd Law. If such an important force or mechanism is in existence, it would seem it should be quite obvious to all scientists. Yet, the fact is, no such force of nature has been found.

Once again the lies of evolutionists are exposed, showing that evolution is merely voodoo science.

You're a typical mentally deficient cretinist christian. You would lose to Terry Schiavo at chess.

The second law of thermodynamics says everything in a closed system tends toward entropy. What dimwitted godbots like you fail to comprehend is that the Earth is not a closed system.

If the Earth is a closed system, then why does the sun affect life on Earth? Why do meteors and comets? Why does the moon cause tides?

Unfortunately, you embicilic godbots don't have the decency to put up or shut up when called upon.

Actually, the law of entropy has been used as a debate against evolution. Many believe that there are some exceptions, two of them are Evolution, and Universal Collapse. Universal Collapse is the theory that the universe will inevitably condense back into a singularity because of the gravitational force.

Do you even know what the 2nd law is? If you did you would see that in no way does it prevent evolution.

From the Bible of Evolution: The only processes necessary for evolution to occur are reproduction, heritable variation, and selection. All of these are seen to happen all the time, so, obviously, no physical laws are preventing them.

Nice try but you might want to read a book or two before just linking to some creationist nut job to confirm your biased notion.

Here we go again. Listen very carefully and I will type very slowly:

The 2nd law of thermodynamics pertains to a closed system with no energy coming into it. The earth is not a closed system as there is energy beaming down on it at all times.

Every time a snowflake forms or an icicle, or any crystal of any kind on earth, it is a movement away from "disarangedness". Every time a zygote grows to a fetus to a toddler to an adult of any animal or human, it is a movement away from "disarangedness".

Here is a page with about 30 links refuting this problem, some are even from christians!

You're absolutely correct. Everything, if left to its own, will degenerate into kayos. In order for something to go from randomness to order, there must be the addition of outside information. Without that, all systems degenerate. Every field of science recognizes the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics except one; Biology. If biology was to admit that this law was in effect, it would totally eliminate the idea of evolution.

Even with micro-evolution; which does happen; that's where we get variations within species, the process of the variations is a loss of information. This is totally within the confines of the 2nd law.

Macro-evolution, which is the theory that one organism mutates into a higher life form can't take place because of the randomness problem.

Because of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, organisms can't mutate into higher life forms, but must produce after their kind, as is told in the Bible.

"...disorder can never produce order through any kind of random process. There must be present some form of code or program, to direct the ordering process, and this code must contain at least as much "information" as is needed to provide this direction.

Furthermore, there must be present some kind of mechanism for converting the environmental energy into the energy required to produce the higher organization of the system involved."

I guess creationists don't know what "natural selection" or the sun is.

...amazing!
You would think that all these people would also know the
the first law. THAT MATTER CAN NEITHER BE CREATED NOR DESTROYED. (that is, that which exists at the present)

Our eternal being (soul) is just this.
Like water-liquid/vapor/solid.
It never ceases to exist.
*And so it is with TRUTH/LAWS , THE LAWMAKER/CREATOR.
EVOLUTION is literally " a dying movement."
It is unfortunate that people chuck logic out the window, and settle for a theory or possibility. The what if answers etc.

PEOPLE SHOULD BE GLAD EVOLUTION IS FALSE.
IF IT WERE SO....I would not want to open that next can of peanut butter or corn or a can of soda.....cuz if it did "mutate" it just MIGHT KILL YOU! THEN AGAIN, THIS IS THE DOCTRINE OF EVOLUTION. DEATH.

not all important ideas are obvious. Many are extremely complex. Important does not mean simple. Some of the most important ideas, such as the idea of wave-particle duality, are very, very diffficult to grasp and scientists have been struggling with them for millenia.

My elementary chemistry textbook had a twisted version of the second law. The professor that wrote the text used is on the title page for the chapter on thermodynamics.

"If you think things are bad now, wait a while and watch them get worse."
