Ok heres the scoop, my best friend likes the same boy that I like, but she doesn't know that I like him. She always hangs around with me when he's around, and it makes me sad because I like him, and I want alone time with him. I'm not sure if he likes me or not, his friend says he wants to take me to this party, but he's too shy to ask. I'm not sure what to do. I want to be more than friends with him, but I'm not sure how to get his attention. Anybody have any advice? If so you can IM me or answer:) THANKS

Your best friend is your best friend, you should be able to talk to her about anything, even this. Talk to her about it! Decide whether you two should go "fair game" with this or whatever. Tell her what the guy's friend told you. And ask her what she would rather you do. Keep her included with this. Be prepared for whatever may happen, and any uneasiness this may cause between you and your best friend. About the shy guy thing, catch him alone when your bff is no where to be found and start up a conversation w/ him.

Good Luck

Just remember that you could lose your best friend out of this. Is it worth it? Even if the feelings between you and he are mutual, your friend will be upset if she likes him too. You may want to dig around and find out how much she is interested in him. If it is not deep, talk to her first before you go any further. Friends will be around a lot longer than any guy will.

What do you value more? Your friendship? or your crush?

This is very simple, and you must choose.
Chances are very, very good, that if you date the same guy, your best friend likes, then you will loose that friend.

Believe me, I've watched it many a time.
