ever take a private vow of chastity for your whole life?

And if you did, are you still practicing chastity?

I am single and never married, but I am young yet, so more than likely it will happen at some point. I have taken a vow until my marriage date, I think it teaches control and self respect. You want to build a strong foundation to a relationship, by not having sex you are doing that.

Yup! ME!! However, I went beyond Chastity and right into total Celibacy.

What's the difference? Chastity is defined by marriage. Once you're married you have chaste sex. Not lustful "use me as a treadmill" sex, but intimate, true, loving sex.

Celibacy means No Sex. EVER.

I made a private vow of Celibacy for the Kingdom. I'm not perfect. It doesn't equal a "free pass" to Heaven. I get tempted and have to pray for intercession.

But I love it! I'm so happy all the time!
