Consumer Reports ran a test of shampoos compared to dish soap and found that even the dish soap did a good job. Go ahead and use the cheap shampoo.

What do you mean nothing worked? I have been a stylist for 35 years. If store bought shampoo, no matter what price, is not cleaning your hair, try rinsing longer, if that doesn't work see a health care provider

Shampoos contain the same main ingredients. Cheap ones work just fine.

Cheap shampoo does the same as the expensive ones. It cleans your hair and you will not have hairloss due to it, nor should you get your hair damaged. Proper rinsing is important so that it doesn't get frizzy.

you get what you pay for. shampoos higher in salt (sodium) will strip your hair color right out (that is if you color it), especially the ones with ALOT of lather. I just bought the best shampoo Ive ever used ($13), its also the most expensive Ive ever bought. its the Aveda color conscious shampoo and it makes my hair soft and so nice to the touch. Ive never gotten these results with cheapo shampoos, and Ive tried them all.

I'd say experiment. Sometimes corporations make two products with exactly the same ingredients. One has a name brand, the other is generic. They do this because people are willing to spend more on a name brand because they believe it's better.

NO! Those shampoos might work but later on the reactions might not be so great and your hair will change colors and will fall out!

Try it once and see how your hair feels to you. If you don't like the way it makes your hair feel, keep shopping for shampoo.
