Hi there, My son is also 10 1/2 and weighs 77 pounds, to me he looks too skinny(of course I wouldn't tell him that) Your daughter sounds fine. Take into account that she may have a growth spurt soon, her bone structure, family history and so on...If her doctor isn't concerned, then I am sure she is perfect. As long as she is happy, healthy, active and eats healthy...then I would not be concerned...After all, she is still pretty young. I am sorry about some of those nasty responses you got to a valid question!

Please don't express this consern to your daughter, it'll just make her self concious. That sounds like a fine weight. If you are worried look up a height weight chart or talk to your doctor. If she's exercising and eating healthy then it sounds like she's doing great. Eating disorders are running rampant so just encourage her healthy lifestyle but don't push it to where she may develop an eating disorder.

My son is 5" tall and he weighs 100 lbs. He is almost 11 y/o. I don't think she is overweight. If she is active she will work it off. Don't worry too much about it.

I have a friend who is 5'0 and 75 pounds may I add shes 30!!!!
I think its more proportion than anything. Is your child proportioned? is there a belly? does the child have poor eating habits? Does he child get exausted easily??? I would take all that in consideration before labeling the child fat or to thin

It doesn't sound excessive. Does she look fat, can she excercise without getting out of breath too easily?
