God gave us his only son but what kind of God does that and if he is omnipotent he would know in advance that he would be crucified so what was the point in putting him on earth in the first place? Again in what does his death save humanity if it was preknown anyway as he woudl never had lead a long and "normal" life?

Quoting chapters from the bible is irrelevant as it does not articulate your belief only replicate what is already known. It would seem that answering this way suggests either ignorance, blind faith or a certain defencefness .

It goes back to Adam and Eve, When Adam and Eve sinned, they were separated from God. So God made them and everyone there on after to sacrifice offerings (sheep, calf's, etc) in order to be forgiven of there sins. So God saw that no one could live up to the new standard. He knew that there needed to be a savior to save mankind from death, because since no one could live up to this new standard of living we were all marked for death (in a way). So that is when God sent Jesus his son to save the world from certain death. For all how believe in Jesus the Christ as their Savior will be saved.
As for God being omnipotent and knowing that this would come to pass, and why did he let it happen. I don't know 100%, there are certain things that we just don't know. When we meet God almighty then we can ask the details. All I can do is trust in the LORD. Please study the bible start with the New Testament and then read the Old Testament. That is the beginning of knowledge.

We are all born with a sinful nature because of Adam and Eve's disobedience to God. This sinful nature separates us from God.

God created a way to bring us back to Him. To the same condition that we were in before sin came into the world.

God has declared that no sin can enter Heaven. Well, that leaves all of us out We can't do anything to fix this problem. Not even our religion can.

So, God sent His Son Jesus, who had no sin, to live and suffer death in our place because we really deserve to die for the wrong things that we do and are.

If we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and repent (turn away from) of our sin. Then God forgives us, because of the sacrifice that Jesus made.

The really wonderful news is that when we do accept Jesus, we will also be raised from the dead just as He was. We will live eternally with God, Jesus, and other loved ones who have accepted Jesus.

And no, Jesus is not leading a normal earthly life. He is now King of Kings and Lord of Lords and will be coming back as ultimate ruler soon.

Do we look saved to anyone out there? It was supposed to be a metaphorical payment if you like so that mankind can understand what it is that God has done for us when we are eventually saved, a payment for all of our badness like a ransom/exchange. That currency is no longer valid in this day and age he needs to come up with some other payment due to the rising inflation maybe he could negotiate with Gordon Brown.

Because when Adam & Eve sinned, it brought sin into the world for everyone. We were born under the law of sin and death. There was a sin debt that had to be paid. As in the old testiment, there had to be a blood offering for the remissions of sin. (this typified what Christ would do at the cross) They had to offer sacrifices everytime they sinned in belief that one day there would be a coming Redeemer. Sin became so great that the blood of animals was no longer sufficient. So God sent His son as the last and perfect sacrifice. When we believe on Him, His death became our death, His ressurection became our ressurection. It was like He died in our place. Now because we believe on Him, we have newness of life. If you Read Romans the sixth chapter, this will tell you exactly how. If we believe on him, you may experience a physical death, but you will reign with Him. That's the shortest way I could tell you. Email me, if you'd like to discuss it further.

The Book says He died in the way He did, because that is
the way things were done on the earth. So the Heavens had
to take on the same form.
Think of all the creatures of Earth that have died violent and bloody deaths. Blood sacrifice was originally pagan, and
actually creates negative spiritual energies.
The spirit that lived as Jesus Christ was the Morning Star.
He didn't just make a dramatic statement with His death, but actually reopened the doors to spirit that had slowly been
closing due to the "dimness" of the humans senses.
He was the "firstfruits of those who "slept". Or wandered in
lower realities without the awareness of their spiritual
heritage.
"Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin."
Blood is a symbolic term that refers to ones PERSONAL
spiritual power. Hebrews, "YOU have not yet resisted unto
BLOOD."
Our Creator does nothing in vain. We are yet to go through a
period of suffering in order to purge ourselves of the negative
energies of anger and resentment we hold within. Because
these things cannot exist in the Higher Heavens.

of course we don't understand a God who loves us enough to allow his only son to suffer, because that's a love we don't have on earth (it's known as agape love and is only found in God). Jesus chose to come to earth as a man,so we can put our faith in a god who knows fully what it's like to live as one of us, and he chose to die because that's the only thing that could open a door for us to get back into a relationship with our father. The sin in us is a barrier between us and God, and he could have just said, well let them all go to hell (would that be the kind of father you want) or he could have scrapped us as a project and started again, but he chose to give us a chance to get back to where we belong, in heaven with him, and I for one, when I met Jesus aged 29, was blown away by the love that did that.

We need to go back to the beginning of creation.
Adam and Eve were created perfect human beings. They were placed in a garden paradise and told to fill the earth with offspring. They were also designed to live forever.Had they obeyed God,we today would all be in perfect health,no death,no suffering.
However, because they disobeyed God and listened to Satan instead, they lost all of that for mankind. And as offspring of Adam and Eve we are all born imperfect. We get sick, grow old and eventually die.
This however, was not God's plan for mankind. And because of his great love for us he allowed his only begotten son to come to earth as a perfect human. And as a perfect human Jesus could offer that perfect body as a ransom sacrifice to repurchase mankind from enslavement to sin and death.Because just as one perfect human lost life for all man,so too one perfect human was able to buy it all back.
If we exercise faith in that ransom sacrifice we have the opportunity to live forever in God's new system.

You also need to remember that even though God knows everything. He chooses not to.He gave all his intelligent creation the gift of free will.To do what they want.Whether it is to obey God and live,or disobey God and eventually be destroyed.
Jesus loved his Father and he also loved mankind. He chose to obey his Father and come to earth to die on behalf of mankind.Jesus now has the priviledge of immortal life as king of God's heavenly Kingdom. So he was greatly rewarded for his act of obedience. And of course it would have pained his Father to look down from Heaven and see his only begotten be tortured and murdered.
I didnt quote any scriptures but if you feel you would like what I have said backed up by the Bible, please let me know.I hope you grasp what I have said.As there is so much to what your questions asked,I can only hope I explained the main points

The death of His only begotten son was a symbol that the people of the day could understand - a sacrifice

Personally, I think it was a swizz as God knew he would get His kid back.

Mind you, it worked because people are still talking about it 2000 years later.

The wages of sin is death.Jesus paid the wages of sin for us.God is a just God who demands justice.Today if judges were to let people go free for the crimes they commit we would call them unjust judges because they failed at seeing justice served. When we asked Jesus to forgive us He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. When we stand before God as Judge as all will someday for every knee will bow to Him , that's when Jesus will confess to His Father those who have confessed Him before men and separate the goats from the sheep. As for your question , what kind of God would send His only Son to die for us.Only the True God would do this ,One that loves us more than Himself. No other god in history has showed such love to their creation as this. Now the question is what should we do for such a God as this?

God wished no one to perish. Jesus was meant to save the people of Abraham. Jesus found that non Jews had faith and began to teach them the Word. By crucifying Him he was paying the price for all sin so no one would have to pay the price. We are all born sinners, thanks to Adam and Eve. Therefore God had a choice. Wipe out all living things in disgust or send himself to save those who wished to be saved. By the Son dying on the cross he paid our price for sin. You must go to Jesus and through Him to God. He states this in the bible. Jesus was born knowing what His Father intended for Him. That's how much you are loved. Someone paid your fine so you didn't have to. This doesn't mean you can sin all you want but that if you come to Christ he will convict your spirit and help through your natural sinning nature to not want to sin against Him. Please just read the Bible
